add NGC catalog main objects.
The entire NGC catalog along with a convenient filtering mechanism is available in the PRO version. Please consider purchasing it from:

@shawn
Thanks for the thoughtful comments.
I have considered the problems you mention and trying to implement some novel solutions. That's what is taking more time.

Your Comment @Harshad. Adding both can be done but there are some things to consider. Both databases have a lot of the same objects. If both databases are open there will be 2 symbols plotted for the same object. You would need to either cross index the databases or allow the databases to be toggled on and off. If you were going to pick one use the SAC. It is more complete on what can be viewed with amateur telescopes. You can get more info on the SAC database here http://www.saguaroastro.org/content/downloads.htm

@Shawn
What if I support both? :)
SAC sounds great. I wasn't aware of it before, so thanks for mentioning it.The real hard work for me is to re-code the guts of SkEye so as to work with large object databases. Once done, adding support for different catalogs, is relatively easy.

Instead of the NGC objects why not use the SAC database It is a much more well rounded deep sky database as it contains dark nebula and non ngc open clusters that are binocular treasures such as stock 2 col 399 the coat hanger cluster and mel 111. Everybody does the NGC/IC and it lacks many tear jerking wonders that are visible to the naked eye. The SAC database does not. SAC is a much better database for the amateur astronomer.
