Make swipe in manual mode follow Alt/Az instead of screen coordinates

When scrolling the map manually, it often tends to rotate slightly.
Would be nice to have an option to "lock" the map such that the horizon stays level.

I was going to add my own suggestion, but then saw this idea. I would very much like to see this functionality. My phone (Nexus 4) doesn't work in AR mode very well, so I find myself manually scrolling with my fingers. In all of the AR apps I've tried, I get lost very easy in manual mode when the view twists. Keeping the horizon... well.. horizontal... would greatly improve manual mode for me.
The non-AR sky map embedded in Sky and Telescope's "Sky Week" app does this very well. It's a lot easier to use in manual mode, but it's missing all of the features you have. :)

I am reviewing this suggestion again. I had probably misunderstood last time.
I guess what you want is the display not to rotate as you swipe the screen; it should be aligned to the horizon always. That does sound useful.
A workaround is to manually rotate the screen with two fingers. The rotation gesture is working fine in the newest release of SkEye (6.2.3).

Hi,
I am not sure what you mean by this. Do you want the manual mode to maintain the Alt/Az co-ordinates even if time is changing?
If that is so, can you describe how this would benefit the user? While developing Time Machine, I felt that tracking the Earth's rotation in manual mode was more useful. The stars appear stationary, but you can observe the motion of solar system objects better.
