centre and plane of milky way
I want the app to point to the centre of milky way. And perhaps even to the closest "outer border" why not all 4 directions up, down, in and out...

i agree cuz Milky Way turns around and is hard to follow unless you are way out in the boonies where the sky is dark free of light pollution. It is interesting to know the exact position of MW at any time and date which is not alike everyday. During winteritme, it is horiziontal in the northern sky at midnight while it is vertical during summertime . I downloaded Star Chart (500mb) at Microsoft Store for free and it is the best app to see where the MW is.. and you can fast forward or reverse it . it spins like a somersault .. Actually our clusters and stars show the plane but it is not intutitive enough to me, though. Galaxies are usually outside the plane. If you plan to highlight the plane of MW , be sure not to display it too boldly or it will obscure the other vital markers on screen. I suggest a dark grayish background close to black just enough or any darkish color.

Please add the galactic plane/line.
This should be a fairly easy function to add to SkEye

That's a nice idea. I will implement it after some higher priority ideas are completed.
Center and outer arms make sense. However, I am not sure if up/down make sense.
