SkEye aims to be an advanced planetarium for Android.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome here. For submitting bug reports, it is better to raise a ticket.

Please submit each idea separately. Even if two ideas are related, it helps to track them separately.

How can we improve SkEye? Please create separate entries for each idea.

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. centre and plane of milky way

    I want the app to point to the centre of milky way. And perhaps even to the closest "outer border" why not all 4 directions up, down, in and out...

  2. Show Asteroids

    I have no experience in watching asteroids, but some users have previously asked for support for watching Asteroids.

    To begin with, SkEye could show a short-list of bright Asteroids.

  3. Be able to change to original Greek constellation names rather than latin

    What the title says also the ability to change the language of the interface (Not with bot translation though) would be also nice.

    P.S Even better would be to have alternative names in pop ups or brackets etc

  4. Add a binary star tab

    Binary/multiple stars (especially coloured ones) are popular.
    Could these or say the top 250 be added as a separate tab?

  6. Show Flamsteed designation for stars (52 Cyg, etc)

    This idea originally was about Greek designations, but since that has been implemented for a while now, I am changing this to Flamsteed numbers as per comment.

  7. Add Asterism... Summer Triangle, Winter Circle, Big Dipper, etc.

    Have another enable feature to add asterisms (And their names as a separate line color.similar to Sky Safari App.

  11. Added search level

    Search/catalog/stars (pro) Add a 2nd level to search, first by constellation, then by name. Currently very difficult to find due to multiple star designations
