Have released version 6.0 of DSC Test. It supports N-star alignment. Please give it a try. A tutorial is available here:
lavadip.com/media/dscIntro.pdfPlease tell me which DSC board do you have?
I currently plan to support the following bluetooth boards:
- Craig Combe’s Bluetooth board (which is a modification of David Ek’s serial board)
- BETI by AstroDevices
If you know of any other Bluetooth boards, or serial boards with a Bluetooth adapter, please let me know.

Craig Combe's board also uses EkBox protocol. I should perhaps scratch out the names of the board and just say "EkBox protocol".

I can certainly consider Wifi support. Some questions:
1. For the board you are creating with WiFi, what protocol do you use for communication? Are you staying compatible with SkyFi?
2. Is SkyFi's protocol open?

Did you try reducing the opacity of the reticule scale?
You can change it through:
Menu : Quick Settings : General : Telrad Opacity
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commentedDid changing the opacity solve the problem?
Is the font-size too small?

Work on this has been restarted, after 6 years! The current mobile cameras are much better than earlier generation.

I had initially thought that it will not be as useful as a background layer of stars.
However, showing the background layer of bright objects might be useful too. Will think more about this.

SkEye now shows a little warning message when the magnetic field strength is abnormal.
Need to now implement a “meter” as suggested in the idea.
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commented@Leo I know this is very late, but I just penned an article about how to deal with the "strange magnetic field" message:
http://skeye.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/243108-dealing-with-strange-magnetic-field-
Also, I am going to reopen this idea. Showing a meter would be more informative than just a message.
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commented@RW One way is to put a wooden/aluminum extender on top of the telrad riser. Or extend it directly from the OTA if there's a spare slot/hole. There are some ideas in this link: http://lavadip.com/3081_skeye__ideas_for_phone_mounts.html
In the future, I will be supporting gyroscopes to reduce the dependence on the magnetometer.
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commentedHmm... I think I will implement this when gyroscopes become more common on Android phones. Without gyros, I am not able to think of a way to make it more accurate.
Will keep this idea open until then. Thanks Cruiser for suggesting.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commentedThis is a little tricky to implement. In the meanwhile, here's a workaround.
The newer Android devices (Honeycomb onwards) have a way to increase font sizes, system wide through the settings.
On older devices, there are apps to do this:

You can see the ecliptic in version 4.0.
Planet orbits are yet to be done.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminHarshad (Developer, SkEye) commentedThat's a nice idea. I will implement it after some higher priority ideas are completed.
Center and outer arms make sense. However, I am not sure if up/down make sense.

Reopening, because I think there is potential here for creative uses that I hadn’t thought of before.
Such as aligning a radio antenna to East (as suggested by Adrian on email).

I need more info to understand your use-case.
Do you have a physical magnetic compass, and are you referring to its needle?
Or do you mean the needle of the setting circles? In which case, by north, do you mean True North or Magnetic North?
